Better Tech Institute

Better Tech Institute launched in mid-2019. It was created by contractors, for contractors, to solve a problem that has plagued the industry for decades—how to hire qualified technicians who are field-ready and able to start working immediately.

BTI is led by instructors who have decades of combined experience working as HVAC service technicians. Our school is approved by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education to award a diploma upon completion of our program. We accept students from all across the USA to our training facility in Arizona. The school offers the opportunity to test for the EPA 608 certification. All students, as well as members of the public, are welcome to take the certification training and testing at our facility.

Our business partners include:

  • Daikin, a multinational air conditioning manufacturing company
  • Fluke Corporation, a manufacturer of industrial testing, measurement, and diagnostic equipment
  • National Comfort Institute, Inc. (NCI), a world leader in HVAC system performance and air balancing training

Our HVAC Technician Training Program

The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry offers nationwide opportunities for satisfying careers that average more than $47,000 in annual wages. With our HVAC technician training program, you’ll be on your way to launching your career in just 6 to 10 weeks.

Our program includes three courses totaling 240 credit hours. You’ll learn from the top instructors, both in a classroom setting and a lab setting. One-third of training is in the form of lectures, while two-thirds is hands-on.

Our fully equipped facility features numerous heating and cooling units for students to practice on. Trainees are subjected to equipment that has been modified with the most common HVAC problems. This real-world experience is a unique feature that is not common in many trade schools. Students diagnose and repair HVAC systems under the guidance of their instructor.

What Makes BTI the Best Choice for HVAC Tech Training?

There are numerous ways to complete your training and enter the field as an HVAC technician, but not all programs are created equal.

Here’s what makes Better Tech Institute the best choice:

  • Our program can be completed in as little as six weeks.
  • Our tuition is kept low.
  • We limit class sizes to 14 trainees to maximize the instructor-to-student ratio.
  • We emphasize safety throughout the training process.
  • The hands-on training and real-world experience you receive are second to none.
